This service is operated by [YOUR LEGAL/TRADING NAME] ("we", "us"), trading as GuestPlanner, based in [YOUR BUSINESS ADDRESS]. For any privacy questions, contact us at hi@guestplanner.co.uk. We are the data controller for the information described below.
When you create and publish an invitation, we collect the details you enter, which may include:
When your guests reply, we store the information they submit through your RSVP form, which may include their name, whether they are attending, party size, menu choices and any allergies or dietary requirements they provide. Allergy and dietary information can be considered health-related data, so we keep it only to pass on to you for catering and we ask you to treat it carefully too.
We do not sell your data or your guests' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Card payments are processed securely by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Stripe processes your payment information under its own privacy policy, available at stripe.com/privacy.
Your invitation, dashboard and the replies are hosted on our website hosting at [YOUR HOSTING PROVIDER, e.g. Spaceship]. Confirmation emails are sent using [YOUR EMAIL PROVIDER, e.g. Spacemail]. These providers process data on our behalf.
We keep your invitation and your guests' replies for as long as your invitation is live, and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you need them. You can ask us to delete your invitation, dashboard and all replies at any time by emailing hi@guestplanner.co.uk. [OPTIONAL: state a specific retention period, e.g. "we delete everything 3 months after your wedding date unless you ask us to keep it".]
Under UK data protection law (UK GDPR) you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to ask us to correct or delete it, and to object to or restrict how we use it. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hi@guestplanner.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
When your guests reply, you become responsible for the personal information they share with you (their names, dietary needs and so on). Please use it only to plan your wedding, keep it secure, and don't share your private dashboard link with anyone else.
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page.
