Terms of Service

The terms on which we provide the GuestPlanner digital wedding invitation service.

Last updated: [ADD DATE]

This is a starting template. Please review it, fill in the highlighted placeholders, and consider having it checked by a solicitor before relying on it — especially the payment, refund and liability sections.

1. The service

We provide a digital wedding invitation that you create yourself, which we then publish and host at a web address we provide, together with a private dashboard for collecting your guests' replies. The service is operated by [YOUR LEGAL/TRADING NAME], trading as GuestPlanner.

2. Payment

The price for publishing an invitation is shown before you pay and is a one-off charge of [CONFIRM PRICE, e.g. £29.99] unless stated otherwise. Payment is taken securely via Stripe. Your invitation is published once payment is successfully received.

3. Refunds

Because your invitation is a personalised digital product that is created and made available to you immediately, [STATE YOUR REFUND POLICY — e.g. "we do not offer refunds once an invitation has been published, but if something goes wrong or you're not happy, please contact us and we'll do our best to put it right."]

4. Your responsibilities

5. Availability

We aim to keep the service and your invitation available at all times, but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted access and are not responsible for downtime caused by our hosting provider, your internet connection, or events outside our reasonable control. We will keep your invitation live for at least [STATE A PERIOD, e.g. "until 3 months after your wedding date"].

6. Changes & support

You can edit most details of your invitation yourself after publishing, using the link in your dashboard. If you need help, contact us at hi@guestplanner.co.uk and we'll do our best to assist.

7. Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

8. Privacy

We handle your information and your guests' information in line with our Privacy Policy.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the courts of England and Wales.
